I have a long history of involvement with the Hampshire Council of Governments and its predecessor organization Hampshire County. I served as County Commissioner from the town of Hatfield from 1992 to 1997, when the County successfully transitioned to a Council of Governments. I believe that I will be able to represent the Town of Hatfield in an effective manner on the Hampshire COG and will benefit both from my historical perspective and my many years away from the Hampshire COG. I also have a commitment to Hatfield town government and have served multiple terms on the Town of Hatfield Finance Committee, including several years as chair.
I was raised in Hatfield and am a graduate of Smith Academy, Class of 1988. I have a BA in History / Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration. I have run a small business and worked in both the legislative and executive branches of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I have deep roots in the community and have raised and educated my own child here.
